About Me

I’m Melissa, the owner of Excellent Bookkeeping. I have several years of financial experience. My first career out of college was as a financial analyst at IBM but have since learned that I enjoy doing bookkeeping work for smaller businesses instead of large corporations. Aside from my own bookkeeping firm, I am also employed as an accounting supervisor for a small sign manufacturing business. I was hired to improve the accounting processes of the business in several ways. My main tasks include handling the accounts receivables, collections, and payroll along with overseeing all of the other financial tasks of the business. This employer trusts me to continually come up with innovative ideas for how to improve their financial processes.

 

I am a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor in both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Through the NACPB (National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers), I am a Certified Public Bookkeeper and also a Certified Payroll Specialist. Another area of my expertise is in Microsoft Office programs. I am an expert in Microsoft Excel and enjoy finding ways to increase financial efficiencies using the program. Aside from my business life, I live in Minnesota with my amazing husband, our beautiful son, and our 3 crazy dogs. We enjoy being outdoors as much as we can enjoying the beautiful nature around us.
